OST format e.V. is a non-profit organisation from Halle/S. for the promotion and initiation of documentary-artistic projects that deal with themes of East German and Eastern European identity and history. The focus is on the reappraisal and thematisation of social experiences in socialist and post-socialist areas as well as developments in transformation processes in East Germany and Eastern Europe. The association realises its purpose by implementing and supporting projects in the performing and visual arts, artistic research, cultural events and transnational cultural exchange initiatives that are committed to political and historical education.
